Kanu Magazin (Magazine) was started in 1994 and is the leading paddle sports magazine for German speaking countries and one of the oldest paddle sports magazines. It is based in Augsburg, the epicenter of German slalom home to the famous Eiskanal. Inclusive of all disciplines it publishes all areas of paddle sport to the public.

It has been nominated for the Media Professional of the Year award in 2015 for its outstanding contribution to the paddle sports community in the form of spreading information across the paddle sports community to people associated with all levels and disciplines.

The magazine contains great information for hints and tips to enable paddlers to progress their skills. It also contains a brilliant range of white water, recreational and sea kayaking articles.

These articles consist of location articles of areas to go paddling and expedition reports as well as inspiring stories from athletes. There are also interviews with paddlers who are at the top of their game promoting the elite end of the sport.

On their strong social media profile, they follow a wide range of paddle sport events and include information about all disciplines from sea kayaking to slalom, open canoeing to creeking.

Kanumagazine represent paddle sports in its entirety very well promoting all disciplines and informing its readers of what is happening in the world of rivers, lakes and oceans.
