Ole Torp is the founder of internationally renowned brand Dansprint and is passionate and committed to improving paddlesports world-wide. As the organiser of the 2017 World Paddle Awards (to be held in 2018 in Silkeborg, Denmark) Ole goes above and beyond to ensure the paddlers of the current and future generations are given all of the possible tools to succeed.

Starting out as a paddler himself, Ole was successful in several marathon races in both K1 and K2 with his partner Lars Koch. After the ICF introduced marathon paddling to the World Cup circuit in 1982, Ole and Lars secured numerous top positions.

Ole is a true innovator when it comes to paddlesports – with his ergometers being the most advanced of their kind. Similar to rowing ergometers, Ole has developed a system that makes it possible to compare individual ergos and therefore create a virtual race. This is just one example of the ways Ole is contributing towards the innovation of paddlesports world-wide.

Based in Denmark, Ole and his team attend many national and international competitions, providing support to paddlers and teams from all countries. They also sponsor many events, with his backing being invaluable to the organising committees and paddlers.

In essence, Ole is a highly respected individual in the marathon and sprint disciplines. With his expertise, professionalism and passion for the sport, he is a valued member of the World Paddle Awards Academy.
