Besides his background as a former marathon kayaker for the Great Britain national team, Guy Dresser is an award-winning journalist with over 20 years of experience in journalism, digital media and corporate communications.

At international level, he competed in two World Championships: 1988 K2 (42km) marathon and in 1991, K4 10,000m.

He is Commodore of his old club, the Royal Canoe Club (RCC), in Teddington, South West London – this is the oldest canoe club not just in England but also in Great Britain. In his role he manages the RCC website.

He has worked in print, online and broadcast media, for organisations such as the BBC, Reuters, the Daily Mail, the World Economic Forum and the International Olympic Committee. His experience spans from launches and redesigns to the management of complex editorial projects for a range of B2B/B2C publications and websites.

Quite the prolific writer, he has covered everything from business, to economics, consumer affairs, and finance, including personal finance. He currently blogs about sports and the media.

Having lived in Switzerland since 2009, Guy speaks French and German. He is currently Director of Executive Communications for Novartis in Basel.
