As a member of the WPA media team Alyce looks after writing copy for the website and video editing.
Alyce has been exposed to and involved in competitive sport her whole life. Her passion for paddlesports began when she became involved in ski paddling at her surf club, Maroochydore, where Olympic Champion Clint Robinson is a life member. It only took one paddle to become hooked, and she hasn’t looked back.
As a multiple Australian Surf Life Saving medalist and current Under 23 and Senior Australian Kayak team representative, her successes have seen her exposed to several media outlets and platforms, equipping her with vital skills to make a positive contribution to the World Paddle Awards as a member of the media team. After recently completing a Bachelor of Communication majoring in Public Relations and Journalism, Alyce cannot wait to put her skills to good use. Her hands on experience as part of the media teams within several sporting organisations including Queensland Athletics and Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club has also equipped her with crucial media skills. Inspired by sport and a competitive spirit, Alyce has recently launched a new business, Mediagenic, which specialises in public relations.
