  • 2014: World Champion C1 1000m and C1 5000m plus silver in C1 500m, world record holder in C1 1000m, World Cups: gold 'Triple Crown' C1 1000m (Poznan, Racice and Szeged), European Champion C1 1000m and C1 5000m plus silver in C1 500m
  • 2013: World Champion C1 5000m plus silvers in C1 1000m and C1 4x200m, European Champion C1 5000m

C1 1000m London 2012 Olympic Champion, Sebastian Brendel had a mesmering 2014 season.

First he did the 'double double' defending his 2013 world and European titles in C1 5000m, next he achieved another 'double double' in 2014 being world and European in both 1000 and 5000m, third was the 'triple' clean sweep – gold in all 3 World Cups over 1000m; amazing!

Competiting at elite level since 2007 in individual and team relay, Sebastian is a machine having won a total of 10 World Championship medals (3 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze) and 14 Europeans (7 gold - 3 in C1 1000m, 4 silver and 3 bronze).

When he started his international career he paddled C4 over 200, 500 and 1000m, even winning a silver at the 2007 European Championships in Pontevedra, Spain with crewmates Luck, Holtz and Nuck.
