An incredible season from the Japanese number 1 in 2014 becoming overall women's champion in the World Cup series and a firm third out of all competitors in squirtboat.
She has also proudly won silver in K1W freestyle at the 2012 World Championship.
Hitomi was Japanese national champion in women's freestyle champion in 2011 and 2012 (Shikoku, Nagatoro, Ida and Women's Aerials).
A member of the Japanese Freestyle Kayaking Association (JFKA), Hitomi has been paddling for 10 years. An incredible role model for freestyle and kayaking as a whole in Japan, Hitomi is keen to help raise the profile of the sport nationally, especially in the run up to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
