Dane from Walling, Tennessee had sensational form in 2013 and 2014. Paddling for 15 years since he was 6, the American is one of the most respected paddlers in the canoe freestyle and extreme communities.
In freestyle, staggeringly he medalled at every World Cup in 2014 (3xgold, 2xsilver). Quite remarkably, Dane podiumed in every category at the *2013 Canoe Freestyle World Championships on the Nantahala River.
Historically, Dane was also 2011 freestyle World Champion in C1, plus he won all four categories in 2011 as a Junior. He has his sights on becoming gold medalist in all four of the men's freestyle categories at the 2015 senior World Championships in Canada.
He racks up the results year on year at international events like the Payette River Games and the Mountain Games in both freestyle and extreme 8-ball kayak sprint; he also won the Sort International in 2014.
Additionally Dane is one of the best whitewater paddlers out there being 3-times White Water Grand Prix Champion, 2011, 2012 and 2014. A naturally gifted paddler able to read all extreme conditions; Dane finished a deserved 5th at the 2014 Extreme Kayak World Championships in Ötztal.
Activities and achievements off the water:

- During the London 2012 Olympic Games, he was one of a select group of athletes who brought the showcase exhibition event of canoe freestyle to a world audience.
