Ulrike Williges Event Manager for the 2016 World Paddle Awards

We are pleased to announce that Ulrike Williges has joined the WPA team as the Coordinator for the awards dinner and ceremony to be held in Barcelona, Spain from 11 to 13 March.

Ulrike has more than 10 years of experience working within the paddlesports community having served time as a volunteer with various responsibilities at World Cups held in Duisburg.

In addition, Ulrike was a canoe sprint paddler between 2002 and 2005, and currently coaches children aged between 11 and 14.

Residing in Heidelberg, Ulrike holds a Master’s degree in Biochemistry and currently works as a coordinator and lab supervisor in quality control at the pharmaceutical company, ‘AbbVie’ in Ludwigshafen.

Ulrike will play an important role in the successful delivery of this year’s dinner and ceremony with some of her responsibilities including photography and filming, catering, shuttle service and awards program coordination.
