The Paddler ezine - founded by Peter Tranter - describes itself as ‘the international digital magazine for recreational paddlers’. The Paddler boasts a great deal of content with approximately 150 pages in each issue. This leaves plenty of space for a wide variety of articles including international expeditions, coaching and tips, product reviews and reader competitions.

The magazine is Peter's thirst for adventure put into words. The articles are written by real paddlers who are extremely passionate about the sport. The enthusiasm of Peter, his wife Anne and the other contributors are what have made the magazine so successful.

As the only UK independent printed paddling magazine, it is 100% focused on the UK’s domestic scene and paddlers. Featuring inspired travel articles, probing personality profiles, fact-filled features and insightful equipment tests designed to fill the gap between this and the readers' next paddling adventure. With over seventeen thousand people following The Paddler’s online content, the magazine is one of the most popular ways to keep up to date with the international paddling world, whether for beginners or long time citizens of the paddling community.

It uses a modern and easy to use online layout that allows readers to read the magazine online, download it as a pdf, print it or flick through it as they wish. The online platform gives the reader an immersive experience that can even include multimedia.

Peter and Anne Tranter pour their heart and soul into each publication. For them, it's a labour of love. They have both dedicated a huge portion of their lives contributing to Paddle sports and continue to work extremely hard in an ever changing industry to meet the needs of fans worldwide. As a result, they are deverving of a nomination for the 2017 Media Professional Award.
