John 'Mr Slalom' has 25 years' experience in canoeing. He has taught a multitude of GB Canoeing athletes over the years, both youth and elite.
He has also played competitive canoe polo for years.
John pioneered his slalom results and daily news blog, unofficialolympiccanoeslalom, outside of mainstream media channels during the London 2012 Olympics and by doing so, it actually became one of the most browsed canoe sites high up Google searches over the 2 weeks of the Games – enviable by major media outlets themselves.
John has become known for his mathematical and analytical approach to canoeing feature writing.
