Changes 2017 (only) for 'Foundation Award'
In the previous three years 2015-2017 the Foundation Award has been presented to a charity (-like) initiative, a foundation and a environmental initiative. This year these kind of initiatives will be exluded from participation in order to also recognise people in other areas such as 'staff', 'volunteers', 'event organisers' and so on. For more information about this award visit Foundation Award.
Voting: what happens next?
The WPA Academy will select the 5-8 most-nominated-for candidates in each category; these will then be announced on the WPA (this) website, Facebook and Twitter shortly after October 24th.
You can then 'like', 'tweet', 'Google+' your selections to win at the bottom of each nominee profile. There will also be a special like button available if you do not use social media.
Later in the year, after collation of the public and Academy vote, the 'Top 3' finalists will be revealed on the WPA website. Voting continues until mid November 2017, with overall results then tallied and the winner declared publicly at the ceremony itself in 2018.
